Summer Exercise Can Be Fun
It’s summer – time for that bikini body, right? Maybe you’ve spent all winter exercising, or you’ve chosen to stay inside. Either way, it’s time to show it off, and maybe do something to keep it. That’s where Flip n Fun comes in! But first, start off with some general exercise tips.
You don’t need to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars enrolling in some swanky gym. You could start small. Start at your home or your office. Include more physical activity into your day. Begin with a brisk 15 minute daily walk and keep adding minutes till you reach 30 – 45 minutes. Use the stairs whenever you can, carry your walking shoes to work and walk a block closer to the train station. Do breathing exercises and stretch your body periodically between your work hours. Don’t forget that part of being healthy is making sure you’re eating the right foods as well. Including more vegetables and fruits is one of the first steps in healthy eating. Cut down on heavy carbs and fatty foods. Limit consumption of oily foods and make sure you drink plenty of water every day.
So what can a trampoline do for you after all that? In addition to being one of the most fun ways to get your exercise in, trampolines get you up and moving to give your body one of the best low impact core workouts around. Did you know that jumping on a trampoline for just 10 minutes a day is the same as a 30-minute run? That means you can get the same benefits as running in a third of the time with less stress to your joints, strapping on your running shoes, or all that sweat!.
In trampolining, the bounce mat absorbs the G forces when you land, which makes it one of the most low-impact exercises you can find. This means that it prevents the compacting of your joints like your ankles, knees, hips, and back. In addition, there is no better way to burn calories, improve balance, and strengthen your cardiovascular system. For kids, this is less of an issue, but as adults looking for any fun exercise they can, trampolining is a great way to do it.
